Michael R. Moore accepted Christ as his personal savior during his youth and was baptized at the New Prospect Baptist Church in Needville, Texas. It was there that he grew in grace under the Pastoral care of Rev. E.M. Phillips. After graduating from Lamar Consolidated High School class of 1987, he served in our nations armed forces where after five years of service he was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army. Desiring a closer walk with God he later joined Greater Zion Missionary Baptist Church where he was married to his lovely wife Tamera Moore with whom he has two lovely daughters Shaniera and Krystin. He accepted the call to the gospel ministry in the year 2002 at Greater Zion M.B.C. where he served faithfully under the leadership of Rev. Theodore H. Johnson for six years. On June 1, 2008 he was called by God to be the Pastor of Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church where he seeks to transform and enrich the lives of Gods people through the preaching and teaching of the word of God.
